By Darling!
The evening was called IMITATION of CRISP "A Happening in the Profession of Being" presented by F.A.G. @ Envoy Enterprizes on Chrystie St. And to quote my friend Walt Cessna it was "A celebration and performance art experience celebrating all that is, was, and shall be, the genius of Quentin Crisp".
I attended wearing my most Mr.Crisp like finery, styled my hair into a Quentin-esque comb over pompadour and ended up being invited to sit for the various artists and photographers such as Devin Elijah (photo on left) to be captured for a future exhibition. After sitting for a while I gave up my chair to the next Quentin, and was then asked to be videotaped strolling down the street by photographer Richard Mitchell.
