By Darling!
I've written about my friend/artist Mel Odom before here and here.
His is some of my favorite work plus he is a great guy.
Here's another great link about Mel.
I am a big Mel Odom fan. Ages ago, he illustrated a piece I wrote for the old Blueboy Magazine, when it was published in Miami and was the greatest gay magazine in the world. Literally. The piece was entitled "Do Gays Have More Class." His illustration was included in a book about Mel—the picture was titled "Class"—and I am still so proud of it. His work seemed to embody gay men and life in the 1970s and into the 80s, when we were inventing genuine, thrilling, real gay romanticism for the first time—out of the closet and fantastic. Thanks for bringing him to mind.
