I know exactly where this is, thanks to one of the baad lamb-mandated excursions. Did you photograph the whole lot of them? I don't think I have ever seen anywhere else in the world the use of veiny pink stone (granite?) for sculpting. It makes fantastic use of light and it enlivens the figures.
i circled the whole building getting as many of the friezes as i could and the monuments on the stairways. it was late in the day so the majority of sculptures were unfortunately in shadow. i think on the entire building there were only two female representations. very queer indeed!
