Bachelor's Buttons

I love cornflowers, aka bachelor's buttons. Such pretty blues, pinks, and purples. These came from Lebak Farms in Burlington County, New Jersey—my usual flower supplier at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket.

    Adamant purist about these things, I think all cornflowers should be in the color called "cornflower blue", just as all lilacs should be in the color called "lilac". Never understood the point of breeding white or pink ones.
